Community Beat Meetings for the Rest of 2014

DSBE strongly supports the East Palo Alto Police Department's community outreach efforts. They significantly enhance the Department's ability to fight crime, improve citizens' relations with the Department, and advance the displacement of illicit businesses with legitimate tax paying ones, such as DSBE and its planned enterprises. To that end, the corporation is committed to being represented at the EPAPD's Community Beat meetings and encourages others to join it. The Community Beat meetings for the remainder of this year are as follows. FCC Complaint About Assurance Wireless in East Palo Alto
Posted on August 9, 2014 at 3:04 PM |
![]() |
DSBE has filed the following complaint with the FCC using its online form 2000F because of the lack of cellphone reception for Assurance Wireless phones in most of East Palo Alto, which its Philanthropy Department has been working to promote. The Kyocera cellphone provided to me by Assurance Wireless under the FCC's LifeLine program for 1 650 906 3344 does not work in most all of East Palo Alto, a city with a high concentration of eligible recipients for your program. Ironically, the cellphone works better in neighboring Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Atherton, which are significanly wealthier. I would think Assurance Wireless is being reimbursed by our Federal government to provide this "free service" (which should necessarily have costs associated with it) but evidently hasn't invested this enough in cell tower infrastructure to handle the East Palo Alto market. My complaints to them have gone unresolved. Hopefully, you will be able to encourage them to fulfill their contract with you in providing this service to myself and other residents of East Palo Alto. Thanking you in advance. David Shaw Bass, President & CEO, DSBE, |
DSBE Works With EPAPD

STRIVE Service, Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Vision, and Excellence Mural Outside East Palo Alto Police Department Headquarters Image (c) 2014 DSBE dsb-e.com All Rights Reserved DSBE is committed to working with the East Palo Alto Police Department to support its efforts in enforcing our laws and reducing the crime in our community. Our Director of Public Relations, David Shaw Bass, attends the Department's Community Beat Meetings conducted by its Community Services Officer, Elizabeth Lam, so as to provide observations of concern from DSBE to the Department. This is in line with a published mission statement of DSBE's Market Intelligence Division. The Market Intelligence division also makes pro bono labor contributions to National, State, County, and Civic government agencies and remains committed to these efforts when in line with the corporation's objectives, both philanthropic and for-profit. DSBE seeks to displace the existing illicit drug industry in East Palo Alto with legitimate work for its citizens, thereby lifting up our people from their bondage to deadly addictions and our taxable revenue for good government and city's economic stimulus. Working closely with the EPAPD will advance this corporate goal. v. 1.1 (c) 2014 DSBE dsb-e.com All Rights Reserved. |
Management Issue at Ravenswood McDonald's

McDonald's, Kristiansand, Norway Wikimedia Commons, CC Tomasz Sienicki The VP and General Manager of our Sauber Janitorial Services division could not get to work on time this morning because a Ravenswood Shopping Center McDonald's employee did not get to work on time and the shift manager decided not to open without that person. The McDonald's, at East Palo Alto's Ravenswood Shopping Center, did not open until 5:25 a.m. when it was supposed to have been opened at 5:00 a.m., making David, Sauber's VP & General Manager, late to work on its WiFi system. As DSBE's VP & General Manager of its Market Intelligence division too, he knows very well this McDonald's store is obliged by the terms of its franchise contract with McDonald's Corporation to open its doors on time. So he wrote them: The store was not opened until about 5:25 a.m. when it ought to have been opened up at 5:00. There were two customers waiting for the lobby to open at 5:00. Another joined them to wait until the doors were finally opened at 5:25. One of the customers who had been waiting for the lobby to open at 5:00 asked someone driving through the drive-through window to buy his coffee for him in order that he could be served, as he could not get into the restaurant and would not be served at the drive through window as he was riding a bicycle. The customer who arrived later stated this store has been repeatedly late to open up. I cannot vouch for that as I do not live by this store, and do not patronize it as much. Please pass this along to Larry Tripplett, owner, who can relay this to his daughter who oversees the East Palo Alto stores so she may discuss appropriate corrections with the manager of this restaurant. Previous correspondence by David to McDonald's Corporation has resulted in a leaky roof being repaired after four years of neglect, a stop to the same bad habit of opening after 5:00 a.m because of an habitually late employee and an improvement of the janitorial standards at the McDonald's at University and Bay in East Palo Alto after an ant trail due to uncleaned ice cream had been reported. It is hoped this will also prove effective. v. 1.0 (c) 2013 DSBE dsb-e.com All Rights Reserved. |
