DSBE's founder incorporated Bass Technology Corporation (BTC) in 1997, issuing 100 shares of stock to himself in order to create a consulting company focusing on publications software development, systems analysis, and documentation authoring and editing.

He failed.

BTC is currently suspended by the California Secretary of State. It is intended to be restored as a division of DSBE refocused upon software applications, viz., DSBE dba Bass Technology.
