DSBE's Public Relations Department in conjunction with its Legal Services Division will be lobbying for the following goals in the California Assembly, Senate, and Governor's Office should any bills including them reach his desk for signature.
- Support for AB711 banning the sale of lead bullets as an environmental toxin while safeguarding the sale of copper-jacketed ammunition;
- Ammending the language of CA BPC 17914, replacing subsection (b) with "If the registrants are husband and wife, by the husband and the wife." Subsection (b) presently reads "...husband or the wife;"
- Ammending the language of CA BPC 17914, replacing subsection (c) with "If the registrant is a general partnership, limited partnership, limited liability partnership, copartnership, joint venture, or unincorporated association other than a partnership, by all partners." Subsection (c) presently reads "...by a general partner;"
- Ammending the language of CA BPC 17914, replacing subsection (g) with "If the registrant is a state or local registered domestic partnership, by all of the domestic partners." Subsection (g) presently reads "...by one of the domestic partners;"
- Support for HR281 against involuntary organ harvesting;
- Support for the mandatory use of condoms in the adult film indusrty;
- Ammend language in the California civil code such that in order to qualify as a homeless shelter and enjoy protections and entitlements pertaining to them, a facility may not allow any resident to stay more than 180 accumulated days in a calendar year, in order to prevent shelters being misused as boarding houses.

As DSBE is located in East Palo Alto, this will be through the offices of State Senator Jerry Hill and State Assemblyman Rich Gordan until it crosses the desk of Governor Jerry Brown for signature.
